I like this but don’t understand the force-fed fixtures part. Thinking that video games belong in there somewhere also.

With regards to the ‘force-fed fixtures’ line, I was alluding to the manufactured imagery that has become common place.
‘Force-fed’ is pretty much self explanatory, while ‘fixtures’ refers to the gimmick/falseness of it all. In other words, the visuals are contrived.
